John Pershern is a very successful instructor and coach, because of his passion and the gratification he gets from his student’s successes.  The list of world-renowned instructors that John has learned from include, Mike Abbott, Michael Breed, Mike Bender, Chuck Cook, Mike Shannon, Dr. Rick Jensen, Dr. Gary Wiren, Bill Strausbaugh, Jr., Hank Haney, Craig Shankland, and Jim McLean.

John’s work with senior golfers is personally structured around each individual’s ability, flexibility, and desire to improve.  Using drills, training aids, video technology, and 25 plus years of experience, John works from a “ground up” methodology to achieve great results with his students, in all aspects of the game of golf. John is an accomplished player, winning numerous tournaments throughout his career and has played in several National Club Professional Championships, and uses his playing experience to help with the mental side of golf as well.

John is a Quarter Century Member of the PGA of America and over the last 22 years, John was the Head Golf Professional at Forest Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, MI, at Lochmoor Club in Grosse Pointe, MI, and at Bocaire Country Club in Boca Raton, FL.  He is also highly involved in PGA Governance, most recently holding the office of Vice President of the Michigan PGA prior to resigning that position to move to Florida.
